Ok, first lemme start of by saying this thread is based on believing in a higher power. I was wondering the other day, why would God, or any other higher being, favor us, humans. We are on top of the food chain, so obviously we were liked by it. But what could have we ever done to win this favor? And what did some animals do to get hated? Lets take the turkey for example. There is no animal that is screwed over more than the turkey. It gets born, than slaughtered, feathers plucked out of it, and shit stuffed up its ass, and than cooked at high temperatures. I ask the question "why are we on top of the food chain, if we do so much evil in this world?" By evil I mean, lying, cheating, mass killing, self-worshiping, etc. This might be stupid, but its been bugging me the past few days, and maybe I'll find some answers, and who knows, maybe someone else will too. I know we do alot of good stuff, but there are animals in this world that do good as well. I guess we weren't always as bad as now, and the second we gained power we turned bad. the reason we are favored is because god made us in his likeness. since no one has ever seen god they can not tell you what he exactly looks like but i guess because he made all man kind in his likeness he is a combination of everything. Also we are Gods sons and daughters. what father doesn't favor his children over their pets. he made the animals for us to rule over. and think about this for a second, what purpose does a turkey have other than being eaten. huh. what does it do for the world. nothing. its job is to be eaten. And about us being so evil why does god favor us. well he gave us free will and we have to figure out things ourselves like right and wrong. he doesn't want to force us to be good because then we would be robots. and also ever think that there is no right without a wrong. if we all did right then it would not be right but normal and expected and nothing would be right or wrong. | ||

Animals became hated because, unlike us, they can't reason and therefore, we are the superior creatures and we can do whatever we want to them. Unlike some people, I believe humans are inherently evil, I believe once we started to create economies which were based off food production and in turn based off the amount of land that we owned, we became greedy and set out to kill our neighbors and take their land. By the way, those are two different quotes, bleek, and they aren't right. It's "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely" and "With great power comes great responsibility" Also, turkeys aren't stuffed in the ass, their neck is chopped off and stuffed down where their neck was. |

Q: Why? A: Why not? God created us in his image. Supposedly. We are at the top of the food chain, yes, and survival of the fittest is in place. Just like how lions prey upon weaker species etc, we do it too. We eat cows, chickens, turkey's, fish etc and we do it to survive. Sure we can survive other ways by artificial food sources, but we are keeping our traditional roots which seemed to work in the past, so why not keep it up? Animals aren't hated, but they are weaker beings in the sense that we are more intelligent, with better hunting methods, etc. Simply survival of the fittest and we were "created in God's image" |
