| I guess FTC rules don't apply to FT's? | ||

Well, I'll try not to lecture, but I tend to do that, so forgive me if i babble on. But of late, I have been taking note of more and more [FT] behavior that I find annoying, disrespectful, and blatantly against the server rules. I'm not really commenting on surf or zombie, though I'm sure those servers see their share, but mainly on FTC. I have to name names, because I'll be asked for them anyway. Just today, I was on the server, and saw Kever !repeatedly! FFing fellow terrorists. I don't know about any dispute she may have been having with them, but regardless of whether there was a problem, [FT]'s aren't supposed to INSTIGATE, nor RETALLIATE against other players, whether the other players are [FT]'s or not. She was also wearing neither the tag, nor her name, nor even letters, but just ":(". Then, either a week or 2 weeks ago, I was on the server and I was being FF'd by a random player. It started to piss me off, so I stared the other player down for a little bit until I started complaining to admin about the player. Lo and behold, the player IS an admin, ONE OF OUR OWN [FT] ADMIN, continuing after I made it clear that I was annoyed. He also was not sporting either the tag or name. It was Knightrider btw. Eventually, he did stop, but not immediately, and only seemed to cut it out after I mentioned making a thread about admin abuse. I mean, how can you repremmand a player when the repremmander, the admin, is the offender. I'm not saying I've never lost it on the server and retalliated when I shouldn't have on some annoying player who couldn't get the hint, usually an admin provoking me (i've found omni to be notorious for messing with me until i snap) but I think I've been getting better, and I've just been disgusted recently with the amount of nonsense and anarchy that our admins allow, and even participate in, to run rampant. I always thought of us [FT]s on the server as role models for the other players. That maybe the other players wouldn't act like fuck-ups as much if they saw us [FT]'s being respectful OF OUR OWN RULES. But recently, I've been seeing the opposite. And I'm not even on the server that often! I try to make an appearance at least once every 2 or 3 days, imagine how much must go on when I'm not around. I'm not claiming its every [FT] member, I think most of the admins do uphold the rules and do their job. But there are a few individuals, and not just those listed here, that I think should be re-explained the rules. I mean, did we all just join [FT] so that we could get away with ignoring the server rules? PS. And I know that some people are going to post and tell me I'm crying too much or that I'm overreacting, but do you think I would spend the time to type this lengthy post if it wasn't really bothering me and if it wasn't a matter I genuinely thought needed to be addressed? So in advance, if you don't agree with me, say it respectfully, and maybe back up your objection with an explanation, so we don't all just think you're disagreeing to be a dick. I'm with Wave on this one. I remember when I was recruited and how happy I was that I had the priveledge wear the [FT] tag. I felt like time and effort and energy had payed off. I see the same things Wave is mentioning. Now I don't have a problem if you're not wearing your tag and want to remain anonymous, especially if you're an admin. But I do have a problem with people wearing the tag and throwing a completely random fucking name on the end. If you're going to wear the tag, you should wear the name you were recruited as. Admins end up getting asked repeatedly "who's this guy, who's that guy" and then I have to psay and be like "who are you". Usually that's all it takes to change the name but I mean what's the point? Are you not proud enough to be in FT that you have to go incognito? Again I don't mind if you're not wearing the tag, but don't wear the tag and some random name. |

I mean, your kind of crying but...mmm...i guess i see where your coming from was it jus those 2 isolated incidents? did it really "harm" anyone? Knight was prolly playing with you and didnt know u were serious. And Kever's, kever. overall, i say meh. Let it go. Edit: In regards to Noskills comment, should we make a general rule stating " If an [FT] member is going to wear the tag, he/she should wear the name given on entry"? i mean, thas the only solution i see. We do have imposters come on and finding out who is the actual player who has an unknown name with the [FT] tag is a problem i see occasionally. Edited Sun Mar 30 2008, 11:09PM |

Well, I don't know about making a rule or anything. Mad, I've seen you as American Gangster and a few others. KT was Sleight for a while... I think as long as you wear your tags and let people know who you are, you're fine in my eyes. As for the FF problem. Grow balls or get off the Terrorist team. That's what we do for the first 20 seconds of a round. |

Yes.... i agree. I always team knife for the "5 hp buddy butt smack" but it gets old when ppl continue to do it to me to like the point where im to 50 hp....... And in my opinion, if you dont wear the FT tag, and your in FT. dont come into the server until u put the tag on. I dont care if ur kever, or anyone. im not picking on kever but im sick of that shit......... from now on, im going to not team atack purposly any more just because i realize it deff. affects the players that come in to acually play. which means it would be wise and respectful to not team attack me anymore

I don't know why people care so much about wearing the tag 24/7. I'm not going to lie; I don't. I usually don't reveal that I'm an admin or even associated until I see someone break a rule, or until I punish. This gives ME the upper hand, not them. If they were breaking a rule till they saw "FT BLAHBH has joined" they would stop. If they see me join with no tag on, they wouldn't know/care, then I can lay down the law. |
