Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Recently i've seen that not only in failing votes, but in winning votes (Rim as a prime example) people are choosing to withdrawl their will to become a clan member. A few other examples: Wildcard for F7L5, Kever agreeing to not go to FTC if she was going to cause trouble... I think that the decision to not accept a nomination AFTER votes have been had simply because people have a negative feeling for you is a terrible decision. Conflict happens - negative feelings happen. Anyhow, I just wanted to show my disapproval towards the recent 'resignations' before being votes have been passed. |

I don't see anything wrong with this. It would be much worse, in my opinion, for someone to gracefully accept the productive results of a nomination but feel too uncomfortable to voice his or her reaction to negative feedback from current clan members. nostie wrote ... A few other examples: Wildcard for F7L5, Kever agreeing to not go to FTC if she was going to cause trouble... I saw Wildcard's deference to a F7 nomination, and I believe had legitimate reasons for doing so. There's no way I'm going to speak for him, but I personally see nothing wrong with this after a quick glance at his comments. Kever still frequents FT Classic, and again, I don't want to speak for someone else but I believe her continued connections to FT Classic indicate that she accomplished precisely what you're getting at. She got over the initial negative feedback and persevered towards her goal of figuring out how to still enjoy playing despite some criticism (with a little help! ) nostie wrote ... I understand your concern over scaring potential members away, but ultimately the decision to accept a nomination rests with the individual being nominated and you have to respect his or her decisions to dedicate time and interest as he or she sees fit. |

Oh absolutely I respect it, but honestly I think most of the time it's a cheezy attempt at trying to recieve.... pity? i guess. Now neither Rim's deferance (thank you for the word), nor Wildcard's deferance do i see an attempt to get pity, but Kever (as well as other people's deferance) I see as this. Note: No offense is meant to any of the examples, especially Kever who i completely ripped on in that last paragraph. I hope you accept this is as a form of criticism Kever, instead of dislike. |

Dark that saying has little point here. I think it would be more like "You can try to lead a horse though a snake infested spike pit to water but it may turn tail and run." Still despite if you like it or not people are free to express them selfs. That is the price of freedom. It is sad but really all paths lead to some problem or another if you notice it or not. People can only do what they feel is right or should be done at the time. This leads to conflict but so dose just about any human interaction. In the end you kinda got to let it go and see where it takes them of course you can speak your own mind and the defend the person if that is what you feel is right. The thing about this is you make a choice no matter what. You can choose to attack, you can choose to defend, follow, lead, or nothing at all. Whatever your choice the results of that choice are your cross to bare. |

Welcome to the world of opinion. Although you may see Kever's action as "Submitting to her fate" I see it as a way that she does not want to take criticism and shit from people. Nonetheless, I would not feel comfortable if someone claimed that I was hacking and a thread was made to ban her from our server. Would you not feel comfortable either? Some people would rather move on then to hear crap alleged against them especially if it is not true. Therefore, I think that it is good that a person's choice to discontinue nominations and/or play from our servers a good choice instead of playing in an environment where nobody wants you there (As stated above.) Kever still plays at FTC and I enjoy playing with her. I hear people still whining when they get killed by her but they still like to have her there playing. It pleases me that someone who's thread had the largest input in the clan's history over a controversy of themselves still plays at our servers. |

A Drunk wrote ... Kever still goes on FTC, she doens't casue trouble anyways. Kever doesn't like people when they are like "Ohh i killed Kever" but like alex said, i can't speak for her. The more important point is that Kever is not a good example for what nostie is trying to prove. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't nostie say that Kever is a positive example of what can happen when someone DOES figure out how to accept and tolerate criticism, and then decides to stick with our community? Doesn't the fact that she DID post an intro disprove nostie using her as an example of people who run away from conflict and avoid efforts to join our community? nostie wrote ... I used kever as an expample of someone who "submitted" to their fate in a way that made it seem that they were helpless; this was done in order to gain 'pity support' as I'll call it. Trying to lump the recent Rim drama in with Kever's potential for being banned over insubstantial complaints of hacking a few months ago does not yield many similarities. Kever was not "helpless" and trying to evoke what you describe as "pity" as far as I personally know. Again, she's a terrible example for what you're trying to prove. nostie wrote ... Kever said this so that people encouraged her not to worry about joining FTC, that she's cool with them... My understanding is that she enjoys playing on FTC and after posting an intro, has some interest in joining our clan at some point. Most other regulars and FT's appear to accept her as a skilled regular on FT Classic but there are still those that complain. I haven't seen her play the sympathy card, as I interpret you accusing her of doing, so I'm going to have to disagree with you. You can argue all you want that people felt sorry for her, or pitied her, but I believe many regulars and FT's decided that some regulars are worth fighting for and appreciating, despite a little tension among other reg's/FT's. I have no interest in starting a debate about why Kever is here, and what credit she is due. All I'm saying is that I vehemently disagree with your assertion that she garnered support by making some of us pity her. nostie wrote ... I have nothing against Kever, I think it's a subconcious thing... I just thought I'd bring it up. I'm aware she plays FTC. I think you have a half-baked idea, but hey, you're certainly entitled to bring it up, no matter how incorrect I believe it to be. |
