I know not many check the competitive forum anymore so I decided to post in here. I've been waiting for Krem to come back around but i haven't seen him or Sin around in a while. Now I have noticed not only my skill but some others could use some practice and skill refresher. So I'd like to start working on basic skills again as a clan if possible away from all the pubbers. First off, who knows if we still have a practice server. I know we have at least a couple servers and maybe I can work something out with AP to get a server for a night or two a week. I don't have the money to forth for a practice server right now and i am not sure how much one would even cost. Private servers are normally 1.50-2.50 a slot. Practice server shouldn't need more then 16 slots. so at the worst $3 x 16 = $48 a month. That , again, is at the worst. Next, I know we have plenty of members and just off of the reaction i got from mentioning practice in FTC the other day I can tell plenty of people would like to get some help with certain guns and certain skills. Last time we did practices it was always shitty. I'm not scared to come out and tell you who were there, Practice was SHITTY. Certain members came in there and played like it was just another FTC. When we practice we have to be serious about it. No knifing for "shits and giggles" no stupid shit. If you come you better damn well want to practice. We can treat it like a football tryout for those of you who have played sports. You are there to make the team so do your best and don't act like a dumbass. So, as I do with all my posts, to summarize - *I want to get practices up and running again. *I am not sure if we have a server to practice on. *I want serious practices where we actually get better not some bullshit pub players coming to play pub style. *Techniques will be practiced and drilled into us. *It won't always be 5 on 5 or 6 on 6. Some nights we may just work on certain shots or throwing nades or boosting. *Eventually we will practice on a CAL map cycle. *Eventually, i wish to get a real FTC and go through with it. Cal team and registration as well. |

i would love to go to a "real" practice lol, and you are right, our practices should be FT members only practicing skills, like throwing nades, boosting, and strats. | ||

I wouldnt mind trying out. Im getting better with scout.. AWP is a joke. And ive been practicing with deagle and AK in FTC. Nades im pretty good at. So this is a cool idea and im all for it. like i said, i wouldnt mind trying out. i think i have what it takes lol. | ||

yeah id love to have competitive back. i never really got the chance since i was grounded. im sure sometimes if the surf server is empty i can set something up for maybe an hour for practice. |

I'll bring the beer! seriously though, I haven't been at FTC for a while because I still haven't downloaded all the drivers I need for my video card since the last time I reinstalled windows (ATI has shit support on that type of thing), and I can't run cs_office cause it crashes my comp. So I could definately use the practice. |

Good luck, FTers dont seem to do well in a competitve areana, but thats just what ive noticed. Glitch, just a word of advice, if you wanna be a sniper, learn the awp. I was the secondary awper on our team and I can tell you, its not easy, but no one really uses the scout. This isnt like pubbing, you will almost exclusively be using the AK, M4, mp5, Deagle, and awp. Learn how to use the starter pistols as well, and learn about Ecoing, where to plant the bomb, team timing and coordination, picking, and mic communication.
