First, Most clans that want to scrim are gonna want a team with cal experience, which ft does not have yet. Second, for the most part nobody has any scrim/cal experience and that means you need to learn cal strats/etiquette before we scrim. Best thing to do is sit back, pick the people that will be more dedicated and willing to learn/work on skills, strats, and team work. We practice for a few weeks, then we move into scrimming once we know the majority of the team knows what to do. There is nothing more embarrassing then getting "owned" in a scrim. Scrim setup: One clan goes CT. Other goes T. This is decided by the clan representatives. So we have Counter-terrorists [ft]1 [ft]2 [ft]3 [ft]4 [ft] 5 Terrorists [oc]1 [oc]2 [oc]3 [oc]4 [oc]5 The teams do their thing with ORGANIZED PLAY for 15 rounds. After 15 rounds, teams go spec then to the other team. We can practice this. Only the clan rep can use main chat. Everyone else is to use team chat, teamspeak,vent, in game voice, or whatever means we use that the other clan can't see/hear. No name calling or unsportsmanlike conduct. Good: End of match "GG" Bad: Middle/end of match "PWNED" Beginning "These guys look bad" The rest will come naturally through clan practices. |

thats what im talking about, we do need to do more things that show that we also got skills. cuz me i have skills and i can name alot of [FT] members that also has skills. i think we should try to get somewhere as a clan. i know everyone cant play as good as others and thats fine, but we also have players that is good and would like to bring home bragging rights. please lets set something up my xfire is {flip4prez} i will help in any way i can | ||

Some people here do have Cal experience, and as Havok pointeid out, they can help the people who are interseted but don't know much about scrmiming yet. All the stuff he posted is valid, good job! I know we already have two practices a week, but I was thinking, maybe we could have another one once a week for CaL training? That may be what ours are for already, but this could be for the "team" only. |

We have alot of people wanting to play so.....you get the drift. Even though it would be hard for me to fit another practice in, i think it would be great to focus only on cal things but thats what practice should already be. Everytime i practice with everyone it just seems like a big pub with all FT + a few regs. We should just work on things there. |

hey, i just want to scrim for the fun of it. i want to scrim so we CAN get expeireince for it, come up with strats ACTUALLY DOING IT, not doing practice for 5 months then deciding we are good enough for a scrim. i mean, i've scrimmed once when night ninja and a few other people were battling some other clan i forget, they sucked, we powned them, even though it was laggy, so i think this is just as good as practice. | ||

Because skill was never a requirement in joining FT, not everyone is comfortable or wants to scrim. However, there are some really good players as well as players who would like to scrim other clans, this is why FT Competative started. Maybe those who really really want to scrim, to take the onus upon themselves to find/organize scrims. Look into Irc or other CS forums that have dedicated sections for clans who want to organize scrims. I tried organizing 2 scrims vs De (Savage, Dolloth, pimp, those guys) and it was a BITCH trying to get 5 FTs to show. I had to virtually spam X-Fire trying to get more FTs on because De was sitting there with 5-6 players and we only had 3 ppl show. A general rule of thumb when organizing scrims would be to try to book it on a practice night, Monday or Thursday, that way those who are interested in competative play won't have to re-arrange schedules and such. Sitting back and complaining that nobody has organized a scrim for you is kinda childish. Take charge and let us know what you come up with, Lord knows I've tried. Toasters, No Rain by Blind Melon is the shit. Great track. 90's alt rock fuckin rules.

This sounds way out of my league but very fun. May I also suggest for us Caveman<<<<<<<< with low ass kdr's be grouped up with next level ..i.e anyone between my low ass .50 kdr and anyone above to lets say..i dunno 1.00??? I don't nessecarily want to scrim against people with 2.10 kdr's..get my drift. Maybe something like a junior league would be good for those too worried about getting pwned. I would like to see what nastiness could arise when my team whoops Gooses uberl33tzor's teams ASS! Of course once us minor league folk get into a team and aquanted with teamwork and tactics would we only be able to kick Goose in the ass  I would forward to forging a team and going up against a SuperGoose Team! Challenges get me hard!!!If anyone would like to join up on a team, I am game. The fun part is learning from mistakes made to kick the overwhelming forces ass!!! I need sleep. Lata Cave |

maybe we should have like a monthly tournament, with FT, grouped by kd ratio (caveman's idea) or something... i'll talk to kremit. | ||
