| Banned and looking for a second chance I guess? | ||

Alcohol Powered perm banned me for a little dispute last night (1Am Jan 16, 2007). # 5869 "laotzu" STEAM_0:0:270420 00:19 268 0 active Sorry but that's the information I'm given when I type status in a random server. I may be a computer science major, but I'm a COMPLETE newb when it comes to CS:S console, so sorry for not being able to given the appropriate steam ID. I've read the standard for requesting an un bann, and while I may not provide all the appropriate information in a more organized fashion, it wil all by given so by the end of this post  .I'm not going to lie and say he didn't initiate our dispute, or instigate me on purpose to the point of being able to justify banning me. What I will say is that these next few paragraphs, and don't read on if you're not willing to read all of them, make a pretty descent case that I belong playing on Fish Tank Classic, and didn't deserve to be banned: 1)Alcohol Powered, I will start with a post to rub your dick, to make you feel better, and reassure you that I have no problem with you. Let me tell you a little story brother. I was there that night you bitchesd out Pracket, and let me tell you from a third party perspective, it was completely uncalled for. But you know what? I mentioned it in passing to my buddy, B4ndito, and you know what I told him? I said it was really fucked up with you did, but It didn't lower my opinion of you at all. I thought it was a dick move to burn him over mic for over 3 rounds in a row, when you constantly complain to other people about mic span, but It didn't lower my respect for you, not ONE cent. I think a lot of people constantly fuck around on FT, whether its 3stripe knifing me at the start of a round for a few rounds in a row, or evil pig spamming mic with music. You take a more serious approach, and I've always respected that, and always quieted down when you ASKED. 2)On the night in question, AP mentioned that he had muted me multiple times leading up to when he banned me. You know, I know I have a problem that I'm too social. Counter Strike: Source, and drinking (which AP can relate to), are the only two unmindful activities that I still take part in. In fact, before joining the server for the last time in the night in question, I had just spend 30 minutes sitting on a mat and doing Zen Meditation. I know what my character flaws are, and being too social is certainly one. 3) But when it came down to AP actually mentioning something to me, in short, he stated it like this "Hey, I know it's going to seem really silly that I'm telling you to stop spamming mic after the last time you said something was completely game related, but...," ... come on AP, I know you better than that. I bet if you read this post sober, you would understand where I'm coming from. Just a few days ago, I got Omni to unban my friend, who was being a stupid drunk and blocked him in a doorway three rounds in a row. Omni knew I played on the server all the time, and trusted me enough to give SOMEONE ELSE a second chance. I have commited no such offense. AP purposely tried to egg me on, and got what he wished for. That is a completely unfair ban. I'm the classic Fish tank addict, brothers. After the first few days of playing on FT, I realized how awesome the community is, and I was instantly addicted. I don't know if I'll ever go back to playing source anywhere else. Anyways, AP and the other admins, if nothing else I have said has touched your heart, then I'll throw my ego out the window, which i have NO problem with, and be really, super forward with you: HERE I AM, SUCKING THE TIT OF THE ONE (and supporters of) WHO PAYS FOR THE SERVER: Give me another chance, brother. And If my over-socialness really annoys you on the server THAT MUCH, then please, PLEASE say something, which I even TOLD AP before he banned me. Don't wait until it's been bothering you all night, when I've said multiple times to other people to tell me to shutup if I'm talking too much. That is the WRONG way to go about it. Last but not least. If this isn't enough to get an unbann and be given a second chance, then tell me AP or other admins, what else should I do? Hey laotzu. I like you, and ive played with you many times in the tank. Always a pleasure. I was not there for this dispute, but i dont think it matters really. Going by ONLY this information, he got a perma for mic spamming, or something like that. Blah Blah Blah arguing with server owner and i dont know. AP will have to clear that up. But if its true, then i think its a little overkill. Mic spamming should get kicks or a temp ban up to a half a day imo. But thats just me. I dont care. All i know, whoever was wrong doesnt matter all to much. Your dispute can be settled privately. As for an unban, i think you earned it for this well written, well thought out, and sincere post. You obviously enjoy playing on this server. This brings me to another point. Alcohol. (Not AP). Alcohol in general. Alcohol influencing behavior can be a real problem. Some may say its not the persons fault for being too social. (I for one am VERY social when im drunk, thank god i cant get my mic to work in-game). Others may say it IS the persons fault because THEY are the ones who drank. All i know is, its about progress, not perfection. AA quoted. This isnt a vote, but my opinion is to give him another chance, regardless of the dispute settlement. Honestly, anyone who isnt a complete asshole, should always get another chance if asked for. Laotzu earned it. |

Welcome to the forums, good luck with whatever you typed NOW CAN SOMEONE MOVE THIS FUCKING THING TO THE INTRO SECTION WHERE IT BELONGS!!!!! lol jk jk.... um how do you know it was permanent? and what was the reason? mic spamming? I don't think people get perma'd for mic spam unless they're being offensive or insulting. I believe it will be lifted, however in the future I suggest showing more restraint to blab on the mic when surrounded by admins who are 1) known for playing seriously 2) are playing seriously and therefore need sound and 3) OWN THE FUCKING SERVER. There's a saying for what you have to do to get unbanned by AP. "Get on your knees and repent if you please" Lulz. If you aren't on tonight when I get home I'm going to either laugh maniacally or cry. Don't count on the latter ^_^ |

I don't know you enough to say anything about whether or not u deserve another chance. All i know is that you getting banned seems incredibly stupid. On your part that is. Seriously. If the guy who pays for the server tells you multiple times to shut up, then do it. If you know you have a problem with that kind of thing then unplug your mic or something. Go into options and kill your mic if you have to. That's like poking a snake and when it bites you saying "That was uncalled for, I wasn't gonna hurt it". Who cares if you were gonna hurt it or not. Who cares if it's uncalled for. The fact is it's a fucking snake and there is no fucking reason to poke it. Just my two cents on the issue. |
